South-west Road Racing 2020

News just in from Andrew Parker at British Cycling about the South-west Youth Series for riders aged under 16 and the South-west Senior Circuit Series for men and women. Both series are designed to bring together the regions riders for a great day of racing, the senior series has a unique format with events for men ranked E/1/2, 3,4 and 3,4 masters (over 40) and women. WOW! 2019 was an amazing year!

St Austell Wheelers CC goes from strength to strength as its appeal broadens to include a diversity of cycling. During last year, club runs on the road continued to attract members including some mile-munchers while an off-road section became established with regular club runs every week. Tour of Britain 2020 comes to St Austell!

The Cornwall Stage of the Tour of Britain was launched today! Peter, Doug, Stephen, Bob and I attended the launch at Chy Trevail by Cornwall Council. Another Successful Day At Woody’s Bike Park

During August, the Youth Academy arranged for a day at Woody’s Bike Park, a local venue with some amazing trails for all ages and skills. This was our second ‘Holiday Club’ coaching young riders from the Academy and others from further afield. Taking an early bath!

The great thing about riding off road in our area is the amazing variety of terrain and technical challenge. There’s always something unexpected.
